In June 2007 a “Charity Policy” was formulated and adopted at Gazprom Neft’. In it, the main objectives, principles and lines of action of the Company’s charity work were approved. Adoption of this document means that all of the Company’s charity activities and socially-oriented projects will be based on a single idea.
The Interest generated by Gazprom Neft’ towards realisation of charity programs indicates the Company’s intentions to take an active part not only in industrial and economic areas, but in the social life of the regions as well.
Gazprom Neft’s charity work is also focused on a range of children’s and youth support programs, conservation and improvement of environmental conditions in the regions where the Company operates, encouraging participation in sports, and preservation of Russia’s cultural heritage.
It is worth noting that Gazprom Neft’ management is in constant dialogue with regional administrations and with representatives of Russian and international charitable institutions and foundations. Great attention is paid to socio-economic monitoring of subsidiary companies and of the regions in which the Company has a presence as well. Key projects are selected for implementation with due consideration of actual problems and community needs.
